St Francis Whanau Aroha Early Childhood Centre

Thanks whanau for such a wonderful graduation. The mornings events were well attended by the whanau, nga tamariki and manuhiri.
Lots of thanks to MP Steve Chadwick for attending and giving away plenty of encouragement and support as well as handing out the certificates.
Big thanks to all the mahi put in by Corrine Paul from the start to the finish.

Three more graduations for 2011

St Francis Whanau Aroha Early Child Centre (Rotorua) is due to graduate this week on Tuesday 22nd November at 10.00am.
20 whanau have been training for the last 10 weeks and I'm sure all are looking forward to graduation and taking home their computers.

Sunset Primary School at Rotorua is also due to graduate 13 whanau on Thursday 8th December at 6.00pm. They have been working hard with Willow Wilkie their trainer. Willow has set up a training blog that can be viewed at here.

The final school for 2011 is Kaingaroa Forest School who will graduate on Tuesday 13th December at 2.00pm.

Well done to all three kura for participating and to all whanau who are hard at training.

TKKM o Kura Kokiri Graduation

Tumeke whanau! What a choice graduation ceremony with all of the kura whanau in attendance.
It was so cool to see nga tamariki supporting their parents, aunties, uncles and kaumatua who graduated. It was definitely a roll reversal as this time it was the adults who were getting their certificates.
Great korero from everyone involved and the kai was tino reka.
Thanks to all involved with the CiH programme at the kura.

Putauaki Graduation

Thanks to all the whanau who graduated from Putauaki School. It was a an evening to celebrate a job well done. It was also good to see Te Ururoa Flavell, MP for the Maori party attending and wishing whanau well.
Thanks to Grant Sutton for all of the hard work as trainer and project champion.
Let's hope we can get the WiFi system up and running in Kawerau through GOnet.

Mamaku School Graduation

Mamaku School hosted their Computers in Homes graduation with families receiving their computer equipment and looking forward to online activities.

Te Rewarewa Marae Graduation

Whanau from Te Rewarewa Marae came together to celebrate the completion of their Computers in Homes training.
Thanks to the whanau for a great night and most of those graduated were able to hook straight into Tuhoe Online's WiFi system for their Broadband access.

CiH gets under way at Te Rewarewa Marae

Thanks to Tuhoe whanau at Te Rewarewa Marae for helping launch “Honoa te hapori me te hapÅ« ki te ipurangi.” The community resource commissioned by the Department of Internal Affairs to help community groups in developing their ICT capabilities.
Thanks also for the welcoming powhiri and it was also a joy to start our Te Rewarewa Marae Computers in Homes roll out at the same event.

Four Schools & a Marae Start Term 1

Four Schools and one Marae are currently kicking off their training and will graduate from the Computers in Homes programme during term 2.



Te Rewarewa Marae in Ruatoki has a full programme ahead with 20 whanau due to start.
Thanks to Tuhoe Education Authority for helping coordinate the programme.


Putauaki School in Kawerau starts training next week with 10 whanau. It's awesome to welcome you on onboard.




Mamaku School has 16 whanau in training now and working hard towards completing their 20 hours of training and learning heaps. Thanks to Lorraine Taylor and Abi Lister


Kaitao Middle School has also started training and the 20 whanau there are working hard to pick up new ICT skills. Thanks to Gordon Apperley and Cameron Fowler.










Te Kura o Te Teko has joined us for this term and already have a committed 20 whanau ready to kick off in April. Ka mau te wehi whanau we look forward to you joining the programme.

Raukokore School Graduation
