Waitaha Hauoranga Trust Graduation

It's number 2 for the Waitaha Hauoranga Trust as they hold their second graduation in Te Puke.

Along with the seven whanau who graduated from their Computers in Homes programme there was also seven whanau who completed their 4 Stepping UP Digital Steps.

Tino pai to mahi koutou! You are all well deserved of the praise for completing your programmes.
Thanks to Kuini and STAR Training Limited for conducting the CiH training.

Computers in Homes roll out number three is well under way at the moment and 7 whanau will graduate in December.

Welcome Bay Community Centre Graduation

Six very committed participants graduated at the Welcome Bay Community Centre after completing their 20 hours of training.
Thanks for taking up the challenge to go with the CiH programme.
The Community Centre Trust deserves credit for partnering with Nga Mataapuna Oranga in running the programme through Whanau Ora.
Also a big thanks to Colleen Spiro for her commitment as trainer and champion in running the programme and taking the training classes. Thanks Colleen!

Te Waimana Kaku Trust Graduation

Whanau from Waimana gathered to celebrate the graduation of 5 whanau through the CiH programme.
Te Waimana Kaaku Trust, through Nga Maatapuna Hauora's "Whanau Ora" collective provided the opportunity to Waimana whanau.
Thanks to Te Kura o Waimana for allowing the training to take place in their computer suite.

Combined Graduation At Nga Mataapuna Oranga - Tauranga

Three Whanau Ora providers came together to celebrate their Computers in Homes graduation at Nga Mataapuna Oranga's HQ in Tauranga.
Pirirakau Hauora, Te Puna Hauora and Te Manu Toroa Trust had a great whanau evening celebrating those who completed the programme.

Merivale Whanau Aroha Centre Graduate 12 Whanau

Twelve whanau collected their computers at graduation after 10 weeks training at Merivale Primary School. Thanks to the school for allowing whanau to use their facilities. A big kia ora to Erin and Megan for taking on the trainer roll and by the sounds of it they were awesome trainers. Also to Leanne at the centre for her hard work and communication in bringing the programme to life.

27 Murupara Whanau Graduate

A fantastic evening graduation was held at the Murupara Volunteer Fire Brigade with 27 whanau receiving their computers. Te Manu Toroa Trust & Te Puna Hauora Ki Uta Ki Tai Graduation

Whanau from both providers graduated together at Nga Mataapuna Oranga (NMO) with other whanau members in attendance.
Ka Mau te Wehi whanau, you have completed the training and collected your computers and it sounds like many are on the way with further learning.

Graduation number two for NMO and it's great to see the partnership of NMO and CiH bearing fruit with joint mahi to strengthen the Whanau Ora initiative.

Pirirakau Hauora & Te Runanga o Ngai Tamawhariua Graduation

A big congratulations to all the whanau from Pirirakau and Ngai Tamawhariua who graduated on 22nd December. Thanks to trainer Krystal Motutere for all her mahi and also Donna Motutere for her organisation as project champion. Also, it was awesome that all Tamawhariua whanau travelled from Katikati each week. 

 This graduation was the first of many in our partnership with Ngā Mataapuna Oranga Kaupapa Māori Primary Health Organisation (PHO) This partnership includes Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tamawhariua (Katikati), Pirirākau Hauora Charitable Trust (Te Puna), Te Puna Hauora Ki Uta Ki Tai (Tauranga), Te Manu Toroa Trust (Tauranga), Whaioranga Trust (Welcome Bay), Waitaha Hauoranga Charitable Trust (Te Puke) and Kimioranga Primary Healthcare Services (Ngai Tuhoe) Nga Mataapuna Oranga is one of 33 Whānau Ora collectives in NZ and identified early that many of their whanau wanted to up skill in Digital Literacy and have access to the Internet.
